WePlai – Official Skill-Contest Rules

Effective date: August 14, 2025

Sponsor/Administrator: WePlai, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“WePlai,” “Sponsor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: support@weplai.app

Summary: WePlai hosts skill-based AI generated video contests. Winners are determined by objective judging criteria and audience ratings, not chance (No pooling / no jackpot). Prizes are fixed and pre-announced. Apple is not a sponsor.

1) Eligibility; Territory; Age

1.1 Who may enter. Open only to natural persons who are 18 years of age or older, physically located within the United States at the time of entry, with a valid WePlai account in good standing. Users aged 13–17 may not enter contests and may access only non-monetary features of the WePlai app.

1.3 Compliance. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules, the WePlai Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Content Policy, and any contest-specific briefing posted in-app.

Age Verification

Sponsor will verify age (and, if required, identity) prior to accepting any entry or issuing any prize. Entries or payouts attempted by users who are under 18 will be void.

Disqualification for Ineligibility

Sponsor may disqualify any entrant and void any entry or prize if (a) the entrant is under 18, (b) age or identity cannot be verified, or (c) the entrant attempted to circumvent age or location restrictions.

2) Contest Description & Entry

2.1 Format. Contests run continuously in category “lobbies” (e.g., Comedy, Art/Design). Each lobby typically consists of 10 entrants matched using skill-based matchmaking (historical performance, category fit, integrity signals).

2.2 Entry content. Entrants submit an AI-generated short video that they created and own (or have all rights to use). Content must comply with WePlai’s Content & IP Policy (no infringement, logos/brands without permission, or prohibited content).

2.3 Entry requirements. Each contest entry must include one subtle, naturally integrated WePlai Easter egg (visual or audio) that is part of the creative process (e.g., a small “WePlai” reference within the scene, the WePlai “W” symbol as a prop detail, or a brief audio cue blended under the soundtrack). Overly obtrusive branding is discouraged; the Easter egg should feel diegetic (natural to the world of the video).

Disallowed Shortcuts. Entries may not rely on trivial overlays intended to spoof authorship (e.g., slapping a watermark on third-party footage). Sponsor may determine, in its sole discretion, whether the Easter egg integration is sufficiently creative and natural.

Audio Compliance. Entries may use only: Properly licensed stock music with proof upon request, original music, or no music.

No Third-Party Watermarks/Logos. Entries displaying third-party platform watermarks (e.g., TikTok/CapCut/IG) or brand logos/trademarks without permission may be rejected or disqualified.

2.4 The Daily Global contest

“Daily Global” is a skill contest that runs each calendar day for 24 hours. The prize for that day is determined solely by the total number of Eligible Entries received for that day (the “Eligible Entry Count”) according to the pre-announced Prize Ladder below. Prizes are sponsor-funded. Apple is not a sponsor.

Prize Structure (Participation Milestones).

  • Tier 1: 10 Eligible Entries → $10

  • Tier 2: 25 Eligible Entries → $20

  • Tier 3: 50 Eligible Entries → $40

  • Tier 4: 100 Eligible Entries → $100

  • Tier 5: 250 Eligible Entries → $200

  • Tier 6: 500 Eligible Entries → $400

  • Tier 7: 1,000 Eligible Entries → $1,000

The Live Prize Indicator in-app may update during the contest as participation milestones are reached. Once a higher tier is unlocked, the prize will not decrease, even if entries are later disqualified. The Final Prize is set at close based on the highest tier reached by the Final Eligible Entry Count at or before the daily end time.

Eligible Entry. An entry that (a) was submitted within the Daily Global window; (b) complies with these Rules and Community Guidelines; (c) is unique to the entrant; and (d) is not disqualified for any reason (including failure to pass PoP).

Winner Determination. Winner is the eligible entry with the highest score after all entries have received the same number of valid ratings. Tie-breakers apply as stated in these Rules.

3) Prizes; Fixed and Not Pooled

3.1 Fixed prize schedule. Each contest tier displays a fixed, pre-announced cash prize funded by WePlai’s operating budget. Apple is not a sponsor.

3.2 No pooling. Nothing is pooled or redistributed as prizes and do not form a “pot” or jackpot.

3.3 Odds. The likelihood of winning depends solely on the skill and quality of the submitted entry relative to others in the lobby, not on the number of entrants.

4) Judging; Skill-Based Scoring

4.1 Objective criteria & weights. Entries are evaluated under category-specific, published skill criteria. Default rubric (subject to category adjustments posted in-app):

  • Creativity / imagination – 40%

  • Execution (coherence, prompt mastery) – 20%

  • Craft/Editing - 20%

  • Concept / Story / Impact – 20%

4.2 Equalized exposure. Every entry receives an identical number of ratings (N) from independent raters before a result is computed. The platform enforces equalized impressions to remove exposure randomness.

4.3 Anonymity. During rating, creator identity, handle, avatar, and social details are hidden. Raters evaluate blind to prevent popularity bias or brigading.

4.4 Anti-brigading & integrity. WePlai may employ reputation-weighted votes, cap votes per user/device/IP, discount coordinated patterns (including follower/friend spikes beyond thresholds), require device attestation, and use bot/fraud detection. Flags at or above thresholds trigger review.

4.5 No chance mechanisms. WePlai does not use random number generators, lotteries, or chance-based components to determine winners.

5) Winner Selection; Notification; Verification; Payout

5.1 Notification. Provisional winners receive in-app and/or email notice within 24 hours.

5.2 Verification hold. Payouts are subject to a brief verification hold while WePlai confirms eligibility and authorship/IP. We may request additional information (e.g., prompts, work files, timelines) to confirm the entry is original and compliant.

5.3 Proof of Process. Winner Verification (PoP). Provisional winners must, within 24 hours of request, provide minimal Proof of Process demonstrating authorship of the video, such as: screenshot of the editing timeline, a short (10–20s) screen recording of the project, the prompt that was used to generate the video, etc. Failure to provide PoP, or inconsistencies suggesting misrepresentation, may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Integrity Review. Sponsor may conduct additional checks (e.g., watermark scans, perceptual hashing) and may withhold or revoke prizes if entries violate these Rules.

5.4 KYC/Tax. Winners must pass KYC/identity checks and provide any tax forms (e.g., W-9 for U.S.) required by law. We may issue Form 1099-MISC as applicable. You are solely responsible for taxes on prizes.

5.5 Payout timeline. Upon successful verification, WePlai will remit prize funds via its payment partner typically within 1-3 business days. If a winner fails to respond, fails verification, or is disqualified, WePlai may (i) award the prize to the next highest verified finisher.

5.6 Prize Credits. Winners are provisional until verification. The prize amount is credited to the winner’s USD Winnings balance in-app.

5.7 Withdrawal. Winners may withdraw USD Winnings once their balance is $25+ (USD) and payout setup is complete.

5.8 Timing. Sponsor aims to process approved payouts within 1–3 business days; delays may occur for identity, tax, or integrity reviews.

5.9 Taxes. Winners are responsible for any taxes. Sponsor may require Form W-9 and will issue Form 1099-MISC when legally required.

5.10 Disqualification. Grounds include suspected fraud, brigading, bot activity, IP infringement, prohibited content, multiple accounts, location falsification, or violation of these Rules/ToS. Disqualification may result in forfeiture of prizes and account termination.

Failure to pass PoP, provide required tax/KYC information, or maintain an eligible payout method may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Sponsor may disqualify any entrant and/or revoke prizes for: (i) failure to include a compliant Easter egg; (ii) use of unlicensed music or third-party marks; (iii) misrepresentation of authorship; (iv) failure to provide PoP; or (v) any attempt to circumvent eligibility, age, geographic, or integrity controls. If disqualified, the prize may be awarded to the next highest-scoring eligible entry. Sponsor may claw back prizes paid within 90 days upon later discovery of violations and may offset against future payouts.

6) Intellectual Property; License; Warranties

6.1 Your warranties. You represent and warrant that your entry is original, you own or control all necessary rights, and it does not infringe any third-party IP (including copyrights, trademarks, logos/brands, patents, rights of publicity/privacy).

6.2 Prohibited IP content. Uploads that include unlicensed music, footage, logos, brand marks, or other protected content are prohibited and may result in removal/disqualification.

6.3 Limited license to WePlai. By submitting an entry, you grant WePlai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and publicly perform the entry on and in connection with the platform (including promotional uses) solely for operating, promoting, and improving WePlai and the contests. You retain ownership of your content.

6.4 Takedowns. WePlai complies with DMCA and rights-holder requests consistent with its DMCA Policy.

6.5 Limited License to Use WePlai Marks in Entries. WePlai grants entrants a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to depict WePlai word marks and symbols solely to satisfy the Easter-egg requirement within contest entries. Use of WePlai marks does not imply WePlai’s endorsement of any entry’s message. All other rights are reserved by WePlai.

7) Integrity; Appeals; Records

8.1 Integrity reviews. WePlai may pause or reopen judging to investigate flags or disqualify entries as warranted.

8.2 Appeals. Entrants may submit an appeal within 72 hours of notification through support@weplai.app. WePlai’s decision after review is final.

8.3 Logs. WePlai retains contest logs for at least 24 months.

8) General Conditions

9.1 Skill contest; not gambling. These contests are skill-based; no element of chance determines outcomes. No pooled stakes; prizes are fixed.

9.2 Right to modify/cancel. Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel any contest for fraud, technical issues, or circumstances impairing integrity, with notice in-app.

9.3 Release; limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, entrants release Sponsor and its partners from liability arising out of participation, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9.4 Governing terms. These Rules supplement and incorporate the WePlai Terms of Service (including dispute resolution, governing law, and venue). In any conflict, these Rules control for contest matters; otherwise the ToS governs.

9.5 Third-party platforms. Apple, Google, and other platform providers are not sponsors of, nor responsible for, WePlai contests.

10) Winners List; Questions

Section III — Fairness & Scoring Explained

WePlai — Fairness & Scoring Explained

Effective date: August 14, 2025

Contact: support@weplai.app

Our promise: WePlai contests are skill-based, not chance. Here’s how we make judging fair.

1) What decides a winner?

Your video is scored on skill criteria, not randomness:

  • Creativity / imagination – 40%

  • Execution (coherence, prompt mastery) – 20%

  • Craft & Editing - 20%

  • Concept / Story / Impact – 20%

2) Equal views for every entry

Every video is shown the same number of times to independent raters before a result is calculated. No one wins because they got more views.

3) Anonymous judging

Raters do not see who made the video (no names, avatars, or follower counts). This removes popularity bias and brigading.

4) Anti-cheat & vote integrity

We detect and discount suspicious patterns (e.g., mass voting from the same device/IP, follow brigades, bots). Suspicious entries are reviewed.

5) Tie-breakers

If two entries tie after equal ratings, we gather more blind ratings.

6) Why payouts aren’t instant

Winners pass a short verification hold so we can confirm eligibility and originality (no plagiarism or unlicensed content). This protects honest creators.

7) Regions & age

Contests are 18+ U.S. only, void where prohibited
