What is WePlai?

A skill-based arena for AI video creators. Enter contests with Coins and win fixed cash prizes. Ratings (1–5 stars) decide winners, not chance.

Is there any gambling involved?

No. Contests are skill-based, prizes are fixed, and there’s no pooling of entry fees. No purchase necessary. You can earn Coins free. See [Official Rules] and [AMOE].

Who can enter?

The app is 13+, but contests & payouts are 18+ U.S. only. Void where prohibited.

How do I start for free?

Rate videos to earn Coins, then use Coins to enter. You can also refer friends or use the AMOE form. See [AMOE].

Getting started

How do contests work?

  1. Pick a category & prize tier ($10 or $100).

  2. Upload your original AI video (add one subtle WePlai Easter egg).

  3. We match you into a 10-player skill group (or the Daily Global, which is uncapped).

  4. The community rates videos anonymously.

  5. Top rated video wins the fixed prize.

What’s the Daily Global?

A 24-hour, front-page contest open to any category with unlimited players. The prize increases at participation milestones (e.g., 50+ players → $40; 100+ → $100). Prizes are sponsor-funded, not pooled. See the prize schedule in the app’s daily global card.

Coins & entries

What are WePlai Coins?

Coins are entry credits for contests. They have no other purpose or cash value and can’t be withdrawn.

How do I get Coins?

  • Earn free coins by rating videos.

  • Buy Coin packs in the Store (optional)

  • Occasionally via promotions or referrals.

Can Coins be converted to cash?

No. Coins are used exclusively to enter skill-based competitions. Not redeemable for goods, services, or digital downloads.

Fair judging

How are videos judged?

  • Watch-to-rate: you must watch the video before rating.

  • 1–5 stars on every video; no skipping.

  • Equal exposure: each entry receives the same number of ratings.

  • Anonymous: no names, followers, or history shown.

  • Community flags help catch issues fast.

What happens in a tie?

We add extra ratings. If still tied, a final review decides per [Official Rules].

Originals, Easter Egg & PoP

What is the Easter egg?

A subtle WePlai reference placed inside the scene (visual or audio) e.g., Ex: A hidden WePlai logo/symbol, an item like a WePlai coin, a word or tagline, “WePlai” whisper, etc. Not a sticker/watermark. See examples in app info guide.

What is PoP (Proof of Process)?

If you win, we may ask for a quick proof:

  • Short screen recording (10–20s) or screenshots of your timeline/editing and Easter egg.

  • Your audio source (original/licensed/no audio).

  • Submit within 24 hours. Missing or failing PoP can lead to disqualification and the prize going to the runner-up.

Payouts & USD Winnings

How do payouts work?

  • On win, your USD Winnings increase immediately as Pending.

  • After verification, winnings move to Available.

  • Withdraw Available winnings via Stripe Connect to your bank or eligible debit (instant options may be offered).

  • Minimum withdrawal: $25. Typical ACH arrival 1–3 business days.

What’s the difference between Pending and Available?

  • Pending: provisional prize (PoP & integrity checks not finished). Not withdrawable.

  • Available: approved prize. Withdraw anytime ($25+).

Do I need to verify my identity?

Yes, for payouts and compliance. You’ll complete a Stripe Connect setup (name, DOB, address, last-4 SSN, and payout method). We don’t store your bank details or SSN, Stripe does.

Taxes (U.S.)

Are prizes taxable?

Yes. Prize payments are taxable income even if you don’t receive a form.

Will I get a 1099-MISC?

If your total WePlai prize payments reach $600+ in a calendar year, Stripe (for WePlai) will issue a 1099-MISC by Jan 31. You’ll receive it electronically via Stripe and can download it from your Tax Center.

Do I need to submit a W-9?

Yes. Stripe will collect your W-9 as part of payout setup when required. Withdrawals may be blocked until it’s complete.

Daily Global specifics

How does the prize increase without pooling fees?

We use a pre-announced Prize Ladder based only on the number of eligible entries that day. When milestones are reached, the prize increases (and never decreases). Entry fees don’t fund the prize. Prizes are WePlai-funded and increase at participation milestones.

Is the judging the same as other contests?

Yes. anonymous and equal ratings, and PoP for the winner.

Eligibility, safety & moderation

Who can enter games?

App: 13+. Contests & payouts: 18+ U.S. only (KYC/age checks required for payouts). Void where prohibited.

What content is allowed?

See [Community Guidelines] and [Content Moderation Policy]. No reposts, watermarks, third-party logos/brands, or unlicensed music.

How do I report content?

Account & notifications

I didn’t get my SMS code.

  • Check coverage and that your number is correct.

  • Request a new code after 60 seconds.

  • Text HELP to any WePlai message for help or STOP to opt out. Msg&Data rates may apply. See [SMS terms in ToS].

How do I delete my account?

In Settings → Delete account. Ongoing contests or payouts may be canceled.
